Feng Huang Shrine

A soft song drifted through the dense mountain grove as a woman swept the shrine porch. Her white-lavender, waist-length hair waved in the morning breeze. Red eyes lifted as her lips curled into a smile, occasionally opening to sing a lyric or two.

"Even if I brush it gently with my fingers", she sang while twirling her flowing white and red hakama. Wrapped sandals danced on stone tiles, spinning on the heel.

"The remaining flame would still be a hinderance-"

Something nagged at the back of her mind. A tugging sensation that felt familiar yet distant. Despite the nostalgia, it was not comforting.

So what was it?

Images of blonde hair and dulled amber eyes flashed before her.

"Oh, what have you done now..."

On that morning, several reports of a bright light shining from Kana Island made it to the eight o'clock news.

This was overshadowed by the Reux Lania sightings of a vermilion firebird flying towards said light.
