Originally human, Meghan acquired her Shinigami powers by way of Alex one day, who then took her under his wing. Her training consisted mostly of figuring out progressively more creative ways of not dying along with getting hit with Hadō 90 more times than she’d like to count.

Zanpakutō
Name: Akakōchō (赤黄鳥, Scarlet Nightingale)
Sealed Form: A standard katana with a dark red red circular guard
Release Command: Ride the wind (風に乗る, Kaze ni noru)

Shikai Form: The sword becomes a dual bladed pole arm with the shaft being the same color as the guard.
Shikai Abilities:

Senpū Himei (旋風悲鳴, Whirlwind Scream) - A small whirlwind is fired at the enemy, similar to Hadō 58, Tenran, but with an added effect. The nearer an opponent is to the attack, the louder they hear a ringing in their ears. If hit head on, the ringing can be loud and painful enough to interfere with balance and other senses.
Akai Arashi (赤色嵐, Scarlet Tempest) - Similar to Senpū Himei, but is a whirlwind of fiery wind instead, and without the ringing.
Nai Majo (泣い魔女, Witch Crying) - She slams her zanpakutō into the ground, emitting a large sound wave capable of pushing an opponent back and piercing their eardrums at a close enough distance.
Sen Umō Mai (千羽毛舞, Thousand Feather Dance) - After creating a few after image copies of herself, she and the images converge on the target, slashing rapidly in a flurry of feathers and fast footwork. Once the target has been confused, she jumps and attacks from above with a devastating strike.

Bankai: Fukushū Akakōchō (復讐赤黄鳥, Avenging Scarlet Nightingale)
Bankai Form: The pole arm splits in two, forming two single handed blades. Her outfit becomes the same dark red as the shaft of the polearm.
Bankai Abilities:

Akai Sō Kyoku (赤色奏曲, Scarlet Sonata) - A doubled form of Akai Arashi, one from each blade.
Tsubasa no Sanbika (翼の賛美歌, Winged Hymn) - She gains wings, giving her a speed and maneuverability boost.
Tsubasa no Komori Uta (翼の子守歌, Winged Lullaby) - An aerial Sen Umō Mai, with an added effect. Once this technique is used, her wings break apart into feathers and assault the opponent in a fiery gale. Must be used after Tsubasa no Sanbika, and then neither can be used again for the remainder of the battle.

Other Powers
Kidō: Although not the most experienced practitioner, Allen tends to use what she knows in less conventional ways.

Hadō: Through 54, favors 33 and 54. Uses 90 with incantation to devastating effect when necessary.
Bakudō: Through 61, favors 26, 39, and 61. Also uses 81.

Biography:
Pre-Apocalypse:
Aria joined Elder Tale because of constant stories her friends threw around. Their shenanigans eventually convinced her to give it a shot. She never looked back. Her friend Hana helped her make her character, and she joined up with the guild Avalon Haven.

Because of the three hour time difference from New York and Seattle (as she had recently moved), Aria often logged in late at night, gaining reputation as someone who knew exactly when and where undead would spawn.

Post-Apocalypse:
Avalon Haven disbanded for no rhyme or reason, leaving her wanting to know why. She continues being mostly active at night, when she knows she'll have a better bonus fighting the random monstrosities (which more often than not have slightly better loot). She's taken up collecting books to read when she has down time.
