Have you ever got in an argument with someone that Pokemon is childish and that you should stop playing it?  Well, when they find out about these five in-game facts they might change their view.  This is my opinionated list, these are the facts that I think make the game...a little less than childish. Since most of the creepy facts come from pokedex entries, I'll only use two entries to keep the list balanced.

#5. The Ghost Girl- Pokemon Black and White series: when you cross the bridge that connects Nimbasa City to White Forest/Black City, you'll meet a man standing next to a little girl.  But when you talk to him, the girl disappears, which freaked the man out.  But what freaked me out was that nothing in the game said anything about the girl, which left a lot of mystery about her. But in B/W 2, she actually receives a backstory that both depressed me and made me feel a little sick inside.

#4. Dusknoir's Pokedex entry- Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: "The antenna on its head captures radio waves from the world of spirits that command it to take people there." The Japanese entry states "underworld" rather than "world of spirits." Satan literally tells this pokemon to drag people to Hell! think the game is still for kids? Oh, and speaking of kids-

#3. Hypno: this pokemon in general disturbs me.  From its design, to all of its pokedex entries (specifically FireRed), and even its creepypasta, it's not hard to tell what Gamefreak had in mind when creating it. it doesn't exactly help its cause when it abducted a little girl in FireRed/LeafGreen.

#2. Yamask's pokedex entry- Pokemon Black and White: "Each of them carries a mask that used to be its face when it was human. Sometimes they look at it and cry."  You're not training with the average pokemon anymore. You are literally training a human. A tormented, human soul forced to wander the pokeverse.  To make it worse, it actually retained its memories from when it was human.

#1. Giratina's appearance- Pokemon Platinum: You meet Cyrus on top of Mt. Coronet. He tortured the Lake Trio into relinquishing their gems so he can make the Red Chain to summon Dialga and Palkia, so they can destroy the universe.  His plan was going accordingly, and he will finally be God of the new universe. But something went wrong.  As you stare down the faces of the god's of time and space, a black hole developed from below you- what's happening? Two red eyes glowed through the blackness- seriously, what the hell is going on?! Like a tower, the silhouette erected from the black hole with ominous intentions. Cyrus became outraged and demanded what was happening. But the beast said nothing, only shrieked its terrible cry before taking both he and you to its personal Hell. Hooray, nightmare fuel! Seriously, can we just agree that Giratina is the game's Satan?

What do you think is the creepiest thing/s about Pokemon? Please, share your opinions.

Heres is ar Creepy fact that ive came across years ago.

Ditto : Ever noticed that Ditto is similar to Mew in a certain way. Both of them can learn all types of moves and are the only ones with the move Transform finally in generation one you tend to find these little guys around cinabar island. So what if they were the failed clones of Mew?! I mean seriously they do fit the description perfectly.

Since I was asked to do so, I will now spout nightmare retardant for the material that could use it.

For one, it could be interpreted that the Underworld that the Pokédex entry on Dusknoir refers to the Japanese afterlife, Yami. A realm of endless decay and rot, rather than the fire and brimstone of a Christian Hell.

On that same note, Giratina may not be hinting a satanic icon, but rather of something more animistic, due to the vast pantheon of Legends that exist in the Pokéverse. It is supposed to be the embodiment of antimatter; a balance between the shifting tides of time and space. It is likely to take its niche very seriously and guards the balance it holds viciously. Cyrus wasn't exactly subtle about his intentions and was possibly thrown into the Distortion World as a preemptive strike. The Player Character was likely caught in the aftermath.

As for Ditto, while that is plausible, it is also possible that they could be much older. They are based off of that of the real-life amoeba, one of the oldest existing life forms.

Oh, and the monster under the bed is a moldy sweater.

Yeah, I'll apologize for the Giratina story I told. It's been so long since I played Platinum, all I could remember was Giratina's silhouette emerging from the darkness. Recently I looked over a playthrough of that moment, and Cyrus wasn't actually mad, I hinted that he knew that Giratina would show up. Oh, and I think that Giratina being "Pokemon Satan" is actually a fan theory. It might not be valid, but i think it holds a lot of plausibility. (cause you know, Arceus is Pokemon God, and since Giratina is known as "the renegade Pokemon," he could be Satan.)

I remember in Diamond/Pearl that there was a person inside of the chateau that Rotom is in. Was that ever explained, or did we all just pass that off as one of Rotom's forms?

And I think this is funny, but I just now remembered my first experience adventuring through Lavender Town in Red/Blue. Oh god, the ghosts gave me nightmares back then, I think i repressed those memories.

Have you guys seen Banette? D:

That pokemon is like Chucky in pokemon world.

"A doll that became a Pokemon over its grudge from being junked. It seeks the child that disowned it."

That would scare any kid I know into never throwing a torn doll away again

Also, consider this:

Phantump, those adorable little ghost trunks?

They used to be lost children.

I do apologize I'm brand new still getting used to everything. I'm just trying to get topics active again really ^^; the place seems rather quiet.

I know right? How can they say the game is childish? O.O It's got so many morbid things to it.

welp, since we're now on the subject of ghost pokemon:

Duskull- Duskull loves the sound of little children crying and can phase through walls.

Drifloon- said to carry anyone holding it mistaking it as a balloon off to God knows where.

Litwick, Lampent, and Chandelure- proving to you every time you play pokemon that death is a team effort.

Shedinja- if you peep at the gaping hole in its back, it'll steal your soul. Guess what the game does when you call it to battle?

Since we are talkin about ghost pokemons here's a theory from the 2nd generation does anyone notice that Red is probably a ghost when you encounter him at the top of mt silver. Here's a few evidence to support 1. When you talk to Red all you get from him is "....." Then engage in battle- sure some people can disprove it by saying Red is a mute in gen 1 if that is the case how can he give orders to his pokemons in battle?
2. After you defeat him he still gives the same dialogue and vanishes from the area then roll credits-although this evidence can be debunked by saying Red whites out or what not but I'll leave you guys to speculate.
3.last but not least Red didn't look like he was ready to train on mt silver- from the info I've gathered on pokemon gold/silver it is said that Red left home and trained on mt silver for a long time and he didn't look prepared to handle the harsh environment so it is highly possible that Red died from the harsh environment say frost bites hypothermia etc.

I can completely see what you mean with that it makes perfect sense. ^^ The weird haunted house got me too the ghost girl asking you to take the lunar feather to the bridge. It never really explains how she died if I remember rightly.
