Northern Bay's Beach Empty Northern Bay's Beach

Sounds of the crashing tide and the cawing of seagulls greeted To Kei as he arrived. The sun was shining overhead, the shadows of the birds dancing on the sands below.

He extended his senses.

Nothing. He could not detect any of the more voracious locals nearby.

'Good, that means I'm in the right place. I should've attracted much more attention in an area as open as this.'

Strolling along the coastline, he made his way towards the coordinates of the photo.

Something was coming into vision. It appeared to be a large, frilled, and white parasol with someone occupying its provided shade. Long, shapely legs lain elegantly on the lush, white towel; the skin a fair and healthy peach-tone.

To Kei kept walking until he was standing directly next to the parasol. He looked down, as if he could see the occupant through the fabric. "I see you're meddling again."

The voice giggled, "What? I thought I could spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of a city life. This is my vacation you're intruding on."

To Kei scoffed. "On an island that is inhabited by genuine monsters."

"It has its charms."

He reached to pinch his nose. "And you happen to be 'on vacation' just as we're holding the trial?"

The cheek in the reply was insufferable. "Coincidence, perhaps?"

To Kei sighed. There was no arguing with this one. "Fine. Do what you want, I'm not a part of it."

He began to step away, stopping as he heard, "Dear Alex does not know who I am yet."

He hesitated. "... He does not."

Touching the pocket watch, the world faded away.

In the ambient sounds of the tide and gulls, an exhilirated chuckling joined it.
